We always welcome families with children of all ages to all our Sunday morning services at St. Cross but at certain times of year our Sunday service will be a Worship for Everyone Service. This is still a full Sunday Eucharist with Holy Communion and all that our regular congregation would expect, but it has been designed especially to engage children of all ages... we sing child-friendly hymns, say child-friendly prayers and use a different Service Booklet, which has been created just for these services, with larger print, colourful images and short explanations of some of the important parts of the service! The 'Talk' during these services (usually known as the sermon!) is also aimed specifically at a younger audience and will often include interactive elements where Fr. Chris is assisted by our Little Stars Sunday School children and other children present.
So, if you have wanted to bring your child/ren, grandchild/ren, niece/s and nephew/s to a service but have been unsure if they would be welcome or if the service would be too hard for them to follow, then this is a perfect way to introduce them to church life! Keep an eye out here, on our Facebook Page and in our Newsletter to find out when the next WfE Service will be... but rest-assured, if you can't make it that week or want to come sooner, families are always welcome at St. Cross so please come along anytime!!
