Community roles
If you're interested in getting more involved your local community, there are many opportunities available at the Beacon Centre, through which we carry out our outreach work.

If you're interested in becoming more involved in the church, there are a number of opportunities.
- Sides person - welcomes people as they enter the church for worship.
- Reader - reads the lessons from scripture.
- Server - assists the ministers during worship.
- Crucifer - leads all processions during worship.
- Leading intercessions - leads prayers for the church, the world, the sick and the dying on behalf of the people.
- Administering the chalice - assists the priest during communion.
- Flowers - arranges flowers to beautify our worship.
- Technical support - helps with streaming, screens and other IT-based duties.
- Sunday school (DBS check required) - plans and delivers lessons based on the Gospel reading of the week.
- Cafe volunteers - cooks, takes orders, serves, cleans up, handles money.
- Upkeep and maintenance of building and church yard - cleans, gardens, mows the churchyard on an ad-hoc basis.
