Remembrance Sunday Services
The lockdown conditions that have been imposed from Thursday 5th November mean that we are not able to hold the usual public Remembrance Day Services that we were planning to hold either at St. Cross Church or in Clayton Park.
However St. Cross will be holding an online service from 10.30am on Remembrance Sunday (8th November 2020). You can follow that service on our YouTube channel.
St Cross Church will also offer a short Act of Remembrance at the War Memorial in Clayton Park which will include an opportunity to lay wreaths. In order to comply with current guidelines and to ensure the safety of the public, we ask that only the leader of an organisation wishing to lay a wreath attend the service. This service will begin at 10.50am. Members of the public are also welcomed to join us at that time (but please ensure that you wear a mask and maintain 2m social distancing at all times so as to adhere to the national guidance on gatherings).

For anyone unable to watch the entire service or attend the Clayton Park Act of Remembrance, the short video below includes the Last Post, Reveille and a two-minute silence with accompanying memorial images.
