St Cross is pleased to offer a fun, informal and relaxed DVD-based parenting course which is suitable for all mums and dads, whether they are parenting together or alone of whatever size or type of family they have. Each session is DVD-based and includes discussions to give everyone an opportunity to take part. The course consists of six sessions which will run over six weeks, beginning Monday 17th September.
The purpose of the course is to give parents the chance to get together and talk about the realities of bringing up their children. The content of the DVD is well researched and based on what is known to be effective in building strong relationships within families. Its purpose is to help parents get to know themselves better as parents so that they can build on their strengths and discover things they might want to start or do differently. The sessions also contain practical strategies and tips to help parents in their family life.
In families where there are two parents, the course works best if both attend together so that they can both take on new ideas and work with each other in parenting. If both would like to attend but aren’t able to, it might be possible for them to take turns in coming.
There are ten places so it is advisable to book early. The course is free of charge.
