On Sunday 7th May 2017 we launched the St Cross Foodbank. During the Sunday Service a group of young people worked hard to decorate a large yellow food donation bin which is kept at St. Cross. We also have Foodbank Collection Points at ASDA Eastlands (look out for the new box shown in the photos below), the Wells Centre, St. Willibrord's Church and Seymour Road Academy, for donations of non-perishable foodstuffs.
We are currently working with three partners, Ravensbury Community School, Seymour Road Academy and St. Willibrord's RC School, who we have asked to identify families in crisis.
St Cross Foodbank will open on Friday afternoons between 4:30pm and 5:30pm only to families who have been referred via Ravensbury Community School, Seymour Road Academy or St. Willibrord's School and have children at one of the schools. At present St Cross Foodbank is not open to the wider community.
