Join us this Wednesday 17th at 7:30pm for our Ash Wednesday Eucharist with Imposition of Ashes to mark the beginning of Lent.
For those of you joining us in Church, the Imposition of Ashes will be slightly different this year to maintain Social Distancing and keep us all as safe as possible; instead of having a cross drawn on the forehead with the ash (which comes from last year's Palm Crosses), you will have the ashes scattered over your heads one at a time.
For those who cannot attend in person, for whatever reason, the service will be livestreamed. The recording will remain available here for the rest of the week and all our past services can always be found on our YouTube channel if you wish to watch/rewatch at a later time.
INSTRUCTIONS TO ACCESS THE LIVESTREAM
[Please read before clicking on the video below!]
This will work slightly differently to our pre-recorded services as you will be unable to play the video directly here on the website but if you click the video screen below just before 10:30am as normal, then click on the underlined words 'Watch this video on YouTube' you will be taken to the video stream.
Alternatively, if you have a YouTube account, you can subscribe to our channel (click here then click 'Subscribe' just down from the top of the page) and you will be sent a notification each week when the service is about to start. Once again, this is new territory for us at St Cross and we hope you will bear with us as we work out how best to bring these live services to our online community!
~~~~~~~
We hope as many of our congregation and any others who would like to take part will join us at 7:30pm so we can still worship together, albeit from a distance, and keep our community connected but the videos will remain on YouTube for those who wish to watch at a later time.
[Please Note: The videos won't go live until just before the start time, just as if we were gathering together in church as usual, so if you've found your way here early please come back later.]
